This Privacy Policy explains how GoYolo (“GoYolo”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses and protects information when you use the GoYolo website (goyolo.in), the GoYolo Android app and the GoYolo iOS app (together, the “Services”). It applies to residents who use GoYolo to discover household help, and to partners (cooks, housekeepers, drivers and other professionals) who list their services on GoYolo.
By using the Services, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details — name, phone number, email address, and password when you sign up.
- Profile information — your society/apartment, city, and profile photo.
- Partner verification details — for partners, government ID (such as Aadhaar), address proof, and other documents submitted for police and identity verification through our KYC partners.
- Content you submit — messages, reviews, ratings, support requests and contact-form submissions.
Information collected automatically
- Device information — device model, operating system, unique device identifiers and app version.
- Location information — approximate or precise location (with your permission) to show partners and services near you.
- Usage data — pages and screens viewed, features used, search queries and interaction timestamps.
- Log and diagnostic data — IP address, crash reports and performance data to keep the Services reliable.
Permissions requested by the mobile apps
- Camera and photo library — to upload a profile photo or verification documents.
- Location — to show relevant partners and services in your neighbourhood.
- Notifications — to send booking updates, verification status and service alerts.
- Contacts (optional, partners only) — to help you invite or refer contacts; only used if you explicitly grant this permission.
You can decline or later revoke these permissions from your device settings. Some features of the Services may not work as intended if permissions are declined.
2. How we use your information
- To create and manage your account, and to verify partner identity and background.
- To connect residents with verified partners and display relevant listings nearby.
- To communicate with you — service updates, verification status, support responses and important notices.
- To maintain safety and trust, including fraud prevention and abuse detection.
- To improve the Services through analytics, testing and troubleshooting.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
3. How we share information
- With other users — a partner's profile, ratings and verification badge are visible to residents; a resident's name and contact details are shared with a partner only once you choose to connect.
- With verification partners — identity and background-check providers process ID/Aadhaar and police-verification data on our behalf, solely to verify partners.
- With Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs) — where a society has enabled community verification, limited details may be shared with authorised society administrators.
- With service providers — hosting, analytics, communications (SMS/email/push) and customer-support vendors who process data on our behalf under contractual confidentiality obligations.
- For legal reasons — if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, safety and property of GoYolo, our users or the public.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this policy continuing to apply.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
4. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services, comply with our legal obligations (including verification and record-keeping requirements), resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time, subject to information we are legally required to retain.
5. Data security
We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls and restricted access to verification documents. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Your rights and choices
- Access and correction — you can review and update your profile information within the app or by contacting us.
- Deletion — you can request deletion of your account and personal data, subject to legal retention requirements.
- Opt-out — you can opt out of promotional communications at any time via in-app settings or the unsubscribe link in our emails.
- Permissions — you can manage device permissions (camera, location, notifications, contacts) from your device settings at any time.

7. Children’s privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to remember preferences, understand how visitors use the site, and improve performance. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling cookies may affect some website functionality.
9. Where your data is stored
Your information is primarily stored and processed in India. Where we use service providers located outside India, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information continues to receive an appropriate level of protection.
